There is a serious decline in the number of young people entering the civil engineering field, yet we actually need 80,000 more civil engineers between 2004 and 2010.

You can help do something about it. Bob Guletz, PE, and a Harris Vice President, is on a "campaign" to challenge each of his peers to adopt a local high school and participate in their Career Day program. His personally gratifying experience with Career Day and follow-up Shadow Day activities with Albany High School has prompted him to turn his PowerPoint slides into a template for others to adapt for their own use.
