Sam Yaghmaie, PE, LEED® AP
Learn about eight green construction alternatives that can help your next project save time, money and the environment. Participants in this session will be more knowledgeable in making decisions to consider green methods on upcoming transportation projects.
Sam Yaghmaie, PE, LEED® AP has been speaking about various construction topics for over six years to public agencies including cities, counties, water/wastewater districts, at APWA conferences and CMAA workshops. Most recently, his work on “Green Pavement Alternatives” has been published in APWA local and national magazines and he has performed speaking sessions and webinars on this topic at regional APWA conferences and CMAA committee workshops. Sam is an active member of APWA currently serving as co-chair of the Washington Chapter CM Committee. He is also a member of the APWA National Sustainable Transportation Subcommittee where he is currently involved with gathering research about recycled materials specifications for pavements. Sam has more than 33 years of experience in the field of construction management, construction materials engineering, design, and design QA/QC review. His project experience includes transportation, transit, wastewater treatment plants and high-rise buildings.

Bob Guletz, PE
Bob Guletz, PE has been actively involved in continuing education, training, and mentoring for public works employees, both personally and through APWA and the League of California Cities. Bob has served as past president for the APWA Northern California Chapter and is currently active in this chapters “Public Works Institute”, which involves training public works leaders of tomorrow. Bob is a registered civil engineer with 40 years of city and private sector experience. He has been with Harris & Associates serving public agencies from the “dark side” for 25 years. He is currently contract city engineer for American Canyon. He runs Harris’ Municipal Services Group for Northern California, which includes development management, financial engineering, staff augmentation and asset management services.
